My First Time to Ayer Island

When I came to Jakarta for holiday, one of my Chinese friends recommend me to have vacation in Thousands Island. She gave me the wechat ID of a tour agent, Indo Walker. I request the family trip to Thousand Island, and I told them that I don’t need snorkeling or diving because I bring my little granddaughter, I just need a relaxing family trip. The tour agent then recommend me to take the Ayer Island Tour Package. And I do as what she recommend to me.

Saturday morning, at eight o’clock sharp I arrived at the Marina Ancol’s pier. The boat will depart one hour. Ayer Island is near Ancol, we can reach the island within only 20 minutes. I think this island very suitable for the person who have seasick because you don’t have to spend so long on the sea. When we arrived the Island officers already stand by to welcome us.

We took our room key in the reception, along with the voucher for meals. We all very enthusiast to check our room and excited to start our holiday.

Let’s talk about the room here. The room is spacious enough for us and it’s very clean. All the basic amenities provided by the resorts, and you can find the refrigerator was full with the snacks and drinks.

After checking into the room and taking some rest, I am ready to have my meals. The restaurant offer a wide variety of food: shrimp, fish, chicken, squid, and vegetables. The food taste delicious.

After that, I chat with my family, then we walk around the island, enjoying the beautiful view while relaxing myself. We also saw the resort guys were feeding the big lizard that live in this island.

Time was passing quickly, suddenly the sun has already set, and it’s the time for me to go back to my room and taking the bath. Then, around 7 o’clock in the evening I went to the restaurant to find some foods to eat and after that I went singing in the karaoke until night. I enjoy the music and I felt very happy and. Just for your information, you need to give the band some tips if you are going to request a song.

This is our second day and our last day in Ayer Island. I wake up in the morning and get the breakfast.

Then, my granddaughter ask me to take her to the swimming pool. The swimming pool’s water was very clean. Beside the pool, there's a cave that used to be a bar, but apparently they don't open it anymore. My granddaughter really enjoy her swimming time that I have to remind her that we will check out the room soon. After we clean ourselves, we get our things ready to go home.

We manage to get some lunch first. The second day lunch was excluded from the tour package but the price of the food here not expensive so it was not a big deal for us. Today, we decide to try the room service, although lunch also available in the restaurant. You can find the room service menu in your room and just like the menu in the restaurant, the dishes are very diverse.

It didn’t take a long time for my food to be ready and delivered to me. I personally love how it taste.

I went to receptionist afterwards and check out my room. When checking out, the receptionist gave us a boat vouchers that we will use when we board the boat. Just make sure you don't lose these vouchers because if you do, the crew will not let you get inside the boat.

Overall, it was a very relaxing vacation I had here, I barely want to go back home. I definitely will come back again soon. Special thanks to Indo Walker for arranging everything for us. Everything was well prepared and we are very satisfied.
